Staff Christmas Party ePack

(PRWEB) November 11, 2009

The new $ 27 DIY kit shows businesses how to make their Christmas party a truly fun, personal and interactive event, rather than the typical drunken affair.

With the work Christmas party season fast approaching, Mike Symonds from Interactive Events, says it’s now time for businesses to keep alcohol to a minimum, turn the photocopier off, lock the stationery cupboard and use the work Christmas party as a way to genuinely thank staff for their hard work and commitment.

“We have all heard the horror stories. People having too much to drink and regretting it the next day – telling the boss his wife’s a ‘hottie’, doing an impromptu ‘dance’ or in some cases getting arrested.” Mike says that with the GFC and staff having had a tough 2009, this year’s Christmas party is a great opportunity for businesses to rebuild relationships that may have been damaged. It’s a chance to put the heart & soul back into business. To genuinely show appreciation by giving staff a special experience to say thank you.

To help businesses create a Christmas party with meaning and value, Interactive Events have brought out their DIY Staff Christmas Party ePack. “We found that a lot of businesses are starting to recognise that with some creativity they can have a Christmas Party that’s not only fun, but also helps build and nurture staff relationships. It’s aimed to add more fun to a Christmas party that’s already been booked, or for those who’ve left it to the last minute and need all the help they can get.”

Mike says that the DIY Staff Christmas Party ePack has been designed to help businesses easily create a Christmas Party that is memorable for all the right reasons. “We want to teach people how to do it without spending much money at all and actually make it better than the expensive flashy restaurant.” With many companies affected by the GFC, we wanted to provide businesses with unique Christmas party ideas and Christmas party games that are easy to do, inexpensive and have a focus on building bonds.”

All the Christmas party ideas, Christmas party games and templates are very different to the stock standard ones. “We want to help organisations create something really special.”

The Staff Christmas Party ePack includes:

Interactive Lead Up Activities – DIY bon bon jokes and stockings, themed Kris Kringles and staff thank-you activities
Creative Staff Gift Ideas – Some great interactive ways to buy and give gifts on a shoestring
Sample Party Agenda’s & Budgets – Pick an agenda that works and get the ‘flow’ right
Fun Invitation Templates – Just fill in names & dates and send out
Great Theme & Decorating Ideas – Some fantastic and easy ideas to give the party a sense of fun
Christmas Party Games and Templates – So easy to run and most importantly – not daggy!
Unique Budget Catering Ideas – Really different and engaging ways to cater for a lot less money

Mike says that people appreciate the extra effort that businesses go to make their Christmas special, and that is what we want to encourage and nurture.

Having organised a range of team building activities at various Christmas Parties over the years, Mike says he knows for the party organiser there is a lot of work to be done. “It’s important that the whole process is also easy and fun for the organizer, so we have included a step by step guide, planning worksheets, to do lists, budgets and invitation templates. The feedback we have had from people using it has been nothing short of amazing. We love hearing people’s stories of how the Christmas party games created a real excitement, or that people were taken aback with the thought and creativity that went into the gift they received.”

Mike says that the most successful work Christmas parties are the ones that create a sense of family.

“If you want to create a Christmas party that is remembered for the right reasons make it fun, make it interactive and make it personal.”

And for just $ 27 you now can do that for your business.

Catering Company Choices

Think of a catering company and probably images of some fancy party, reception, or banquet pops into mind. Well, this kind of catering exist but a new breed of caterers are starting to emerge.

Old-school catering companies are facing more competition as new ones are branching out offering more choices and better pricing and trying to meet customers wishes whether the budget is big or small.

Most any catering company now offers meals such as breakfast, snacks, and sandwiches delivered to your desk while at work. Before only the low-end fast food chains competed for this low margin business.

Sure, the extravaganzas still exist and they’re a lot of fun, but catering companies have taken on an entirely new approach to enter a crowded marketplace. Some have even created an entirely new market stamping their presence right next to their competitors.

What does this mean for you?

Better value.

Now that you have alot more catering businesses to choose from, you’ll find that they will work with you more on your terms, not theirs. Keep in mind though, researching to find the few good ones will take a little extra time, but you’ll be rewarded with higher quality and lower pricing.

First try the Internet. Then go to offline methods. Local magazines usually have catering service ads, but understand these are usually the more expensive ones.

After you have a list of catering companies, look for recommendations and testimonials and food you may want to eat. Even better, make up a meal you would want to eat. Now, email all these catering services with one email asking them to respond with a quote.

You will be amazed at what comes back. Pricing will vary dramatically and at least one catering company will have ignored your menu request responding with just an arbitrage of possibilities that just confuses you; or at least raises more question than answering the ones you sent off to them. And still others will try to pry more information out of you before they are willing to work with you.

Stay on track. Don’t let a catering company suck you into their system. Ask your questions and work with the ones who respond with real information that will help you get closer to final goal of hiring the best catering company.

You’ll know when everything comes together and which catering company will make your party perfect. The price will be right. They will have not only responded to your original request but will have also followed up with a personal phone call. They will have made up a catering menu that shows they listened to what you wanted.

You get the picture, I think. Now, with all this information in hand, it’s time to go out their and search for the best catering company for your event.

Finding the best catering company takes work. We will help you get what you want whether you use our catering company or not. Review our website and contact us with your questions.
